What are the special requirements for a general meeting?
Catering for an annual general meeting (AGM) - especially in Switzerland - has specific requirements that are clearly different from traditional corporate events or company parties. Here, catering is part of a highly formal, usually media-effective event where image, efficiency and logistics are key.
1. efficiency & speed with a large number of participants
General meetings often only last a few hours - catering must therefore be highly scalable and fast. In some cases, hundreds to thousands of shareholders have to be provided with aperitifs or lunch within 20-40 minutes.
2. a range of products tailored to the image and representative of the brand
The catering service is part of the corporate image - the catering at the general meeting is therefore staged with high quality, style and often adapted to the region. Glasses, cutlery, presentation, choice of materials - everything must match the company's image. Example: a bank offers regional specialities with a modern twist in small portions.

The culinary logistics must not interfere with the assembly logistics. Separate zones ensure that there is no noise in the meeting room. Catering is usually organised after the AGM part - e.g. an aperitif riche immediately after the Chairman of the Board of Directors closes the AGM.

Catering teams often have to present accreditations and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Guests are not offered alcohol before certain times or during votes (due to voting capacity). Example: At listed companies, cameras, mobile phones and the serving of alcohol are often regulated.
